During last night’s meeting, Indiana Borough Council heard about talks between the borough and White Township concerning participation in the Township’s rec programs.
The recreation committee sent a one-year agreement to White Township for the borough to be a part of the Township’s recreation program. The agreement will send $10,000 to the township, and according to Kaycee Newell of the rec committee, the township will keep council informed on participation levels by borough residents.
More discussions on the agreement are expected soon.
In other business, discussion was also heard on the state of the borough building and some possible fixes coming next year. Gerald Smith talked about what the project could include.
The borough also announced that they received a grant from the Bare Root Tree Program, which will allow 20 trees to be planted on Water Street later this year.
