An Indiana Borough resident has declared her intention to run for the State House of Representatives.
According to a news release, Laura Thomas has announced her candidacy for the Democratic nomination for the state house seat in the upcoming primary election. The announcement was made Sunday at the Federation of Democratic Women meeting. Thomas’ platform includes fighting to bring good jobs with living wages to the area, expansion of the social service network and improving public health by using state resources to upgrade Indiana Regional Medical Center.
