Police reports have been filed on a number of accidents that happened during Friday morning’s snow storm.
Two of the crashes happened in Glen Campbell Borough, and in one of them the driver suffered serious injuries. State police say it happened on Glenwood Avenue just south of Smiley Road. 47-year-old Rosalind Greene of Punxsutawney lost control of her SUV on a curve and slid off the road into a tree. She was taken to Punxsutawney Area Hospital.
About 45 minutes later, on the same road just south of Jefferson Street, 21-year-old Cody Sanner of Glen Campbell lost control of his car, sliding off the road and into a utility pole. He and a passenger, 24-year-old Lance Martin of Glen Campbell, both suffered minor head injuries and were taken to Punxsutawney Area Hospital. A second passenger was uninjured.
30-year-old Zachary Gaboury of Arcadia escaped injury Friday morning when his minivan slid off snowy Johnsonburg Road in Banks Township, hitting a guiderail, a mailbox, and a utility pole.
An Indiana man was uninjured in a Green Township crash Friday morning. State police say Dale Miller’s pickup truck went out of control and slid off snow-covered Route 286, rolling over and coming to rest upright in a ditch.
Accidents for which police reports have not yet been filed include a crash on Route 240 in Green Township yesterday afternoon. Commodore firefighters report it was a rollover crash with no injuries. There was also a crash on Route 286 in Blacklick Township at 12:50 this morning. Aultman firefighters were dispatched.
