Crews from Norfolk-Southern Railroad were out yesterday in Southern Indiana County to make emergency repairs to a stretch of railroad.
PennDOT said that the repairs were for a rail at the crossing at Huff Road near New Florence, with work starting around 3:12 PM. While PennDOT officials said they were worried that the traffic backups would be severe, they did say that the entire emergency repair went quickly and crews were done at 4:00 PM that day.
No other repair work is anticipated at this time, according to PennDOT officials.
