Clymer Borough Police say they have taken into custody an Indiana man who was wanted on a felony burglary warrant, and during the arrest they apprehended two others for suspected drug offenses.
A warrant was issued last week for 19-year-old Ian Cordale Buterbaugh, the suspect in a January 20th break-in at a building along Willow Avenue in Clymer. Police found him last night at about 7 o’clock in a vehicle near Clymer’s Dollar General store.
Police say he stole several items and then tried to sell them. They haven’t said what those items are. Buterbaugh is charged with five felony conspiracy offenses, for burglary, criminal trespass, theft, receiving stolen property, and criminal use of a communication facility. He also has another active case in the court system, for retail theft and traffic violations. Those charges were filed last month by state police.
The two males inside the vehicle with Buterbaugh have not been publicly identified. Police say they had suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle with them. Charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia are pending the return of lab results.
