An Indiana man was arrested on Monday after a three-month investigation into a case of child abuse.
In a news release, police say they were notified of an injured infant seeking medical attention. Police conducted interviews and coordinated search warrants concerning the physical abuse, and their investigation lead to police charging 39-year-old Jerome D. Robinson with multiple offenses including aggravated and simple assault and endangering the welfare of a child. The charges stem from incidents on September 21st where he allegedly assaulted an infant in an apartment in the 700 block of Gompers avenue.
He is free on $25,000 bail, and a preliminary hearing is set for February 18th.
