The Homer-Center School Board met last night and discussed a survey that district residents will be asked to fill out soon.
The survey will once again deal with the school district calendar, and the board is asking that people take the survey to give their input. Last year, the district had over 200 responses from various stakeholder groups, including parents, students and teachers. Board President Michael Bertig said that they will take the results of the survey into consideration when creating next year’s district calendar.
That survey will soon appear on the district website.
In other business, it was announced that the changeover of the student club TADD to the nationally-recognized SADD was finalized. While the club will still help raise awareness to problems with drugs and alcohol, the club can now access the group’s educational resources, scholarships, and leadership training opportunities for students.
