State police are searching for a black Volkswagen sedan that was involved in a pursuit and crash in Burrell Township this week. The vehicle will have fresh passenger-side damage.
The incident began at 9:34 PM on Tuesday when a state trooper attempted to pull over the vehicle for traffic violations in the area of Pine Ridge Road. With the patrol unit’s lights and siren activated, the suspect fled north on 119, then tried to turn left onto Campbells Mill Road, but couldn’t make the turn and crashed into the guide rail, leaving black paint behind as the vehicle sped south on Campbells Mill Road and eluded the pursuing trooper. Other troopers arrived and they canvassed the area but could not find the offending vehicle.
Anyone with information is urged to call police at 357-1960.
