Tonight, a meeting will be held at the Coral-Graceton Fire Hall to discuss a possible post office in Coral.
In March of 2016, the Coral post office burned to the ground in a fire. Since then, Coral residents have been driving to Homer City’s post office to collect their mail. Tonight, the meeting will focus on plans to create a new post office.
The meeting is being organized by the fire department, who have been in communication with U.S. Congressman Glenn “GT” Thompson and the U.S. Postal Service. In an interview on Indiana in the Morning, Fire Chief Justin Smyers talks about the topics that will be discussed during the meeting.
Logan Dellafiora with the fire department said that it’s been an issue, especially for older people.
The postal service will have a representative at the meeting, which starts at 6:00 PM tonight. The public is invited to attend.
