The Pittsburgh Penguins play the Boston Bruins in their last home game before heading to the All-Star Break (11:30 AM airtime on 92.5 FM, WQMU).
It will officially be Pittsburgh’s 600th-consecutive sellout at home. The sellout streak, which includes regular season and playoff games, dates all the way back to Feb. 14, 2007 – a 5-4 shootout win against the Chicago Blackhawks. Through the first 599 games, a total of 10,870,298 fans have entered the gates and the Penguins hold a 388-170-41 record.
Pittsburgh enters the game with wins in five-straight home games versus Boston, but having lost to the Bruins in Boston on Thursday, 4-1.
The Penguins’ overtime win on Friday at Detroit made them just the third team this season to record 30 wins on the 2019-20 campaign (Washington, 32; St. Louis, 30). The victory also marked the 14th-consecutive year that the Penguins have tallied 30 or more wins in a season, including the 2012-13 lockout-shortened 48-game season (36 wins).
