Steelers cornerback Joe Haden was named as an injury replacement to the AFC Pro Bowl team yesterday.
Haden replaces Ravens cornerback Marcus Peters and joins fellow Steelers Minkah Fitzpatrick, Cameron Heyward, T.J. Watt, David DeCastro, and Maurkice Pouncey on the AFC team.
Former Steelers safety Donnie Shell was among the remaining 13 inductees into the Pro Football Hall of Fame Centennial Class. Shell played from 1974-through-1987 with Pittsburgh. He was a five-time Pro Bowl pick, played on four Super Bowl winning teams and retired with 51 interceptions.
Former Pitt star Jimbo Covert also made the Hall of Fame. He played for the Bears from 1983-1990. He’s a western Pennsylvania boy who graduated from Freedom High School.
