A man facing charges related to an incident last month in Clymer where two people were allegedly locked in a basement had all charges against him withdrawn.
Charges were withdrawn against 61-year-old Tony D. Graham of Creekside on January 3rd. Clymer Borough Police had charged Graham with two counts each of misdemeanor unlawful restraint and false imprisonment and two counts of summary harassment for an incident on December 12th of 2019. At the time of the arrest, police said that two victims reported that Graham, who was a locksmith, was employed to change the locks on the house by the homeowner, who does not live there. The victims went into the house through a rear basement door, and while the two were in the basement, the outside door slammed shut and locked from the outside. The two victims pounded on the door, and one of them slammed his body against the door several times. The victims then called 911, and said that Graham had closed the door and fled the scene.
We have reached out to Clymer Borough Police for more information as to why the charges were withdrawn and they have not yet responded to our request.
