An intoxicated man was taken into custody by Indiana Borough Police early on New Year’s Day at the Wayne Avenue Sheetz store.
Police say 27-year-old Clifford Camut Jr. of Bolivar was “manifestly under the influence of a controlled substance” when they arrived shortly after 4 AM. He was searched and officers found a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. They don’t specifically say what he had.
Camut is charged with possession of a controlled substance and of drug paraphernalia, and with public drunkenness. He has a long criminal history of drug-related cases in Indiana, Westmoreland, and Cambria counties, and had four cases make their way through the court system last year (three for possession and one for DUI).
