Justin Champagnie scored 21 points and knocked in five 3-pointers as the Pitt Panthers held off stubborn Canisius 87-79 yesterday. Xavier Johnson had 16 points and eight assists while Trey McGowens had 14 in the win, moving Pitt to 10-and-3 on the year.
Pitt will pick up ACC play Saturday when they host Wake Forest.
