A new federal law went into effect on Friday banning the sale of all tobacco products, including cigarettes, cigars, and vaping products which utilize nicotine, to anyone under age 21.
The ban was included in the massive federal spending bill President Trump signed on December 20th. The Food and Drug Administration notified retailers of the ban the next day and announced it again on Friday.
Pennsylvania has a similar law set to go into effect in July.
In addition to cigarettes, cigars, and e-cigarettes, sales of chewing tobacco and any other tobacco product are now forbidden to anyone under 21.
