Indiana County’s latest group of row officers were sworn in Friday Afternoon.
Courtroom #1 at the Indiana County Courthouse was filled with people who supported each of the newly-elected or re-elected officials as they took their oaths of office today. Incumbent Indiana County Commissioner Sherene Hess said while it is a somber ceremony, it was also a great celebration.
Robin Gorman, who will serve her first term as commissioner starting next year, brought a bible from her childhood with her as a tribute to her sister.
And newly-elected commissioner Mike Keith talked with us about what he looks forward to when he starts work in about two weeks.
Also sworn in today were Bob Manzi as the new DA, James Smith and Bonni Dunlap as County Auditors, Bob Bell as the new district judge for the Blairsville region, Bob Fyock as the sheriff and Randy Degenkolb as the prothonotary. Auditor Donna Cupp was absent from the proceedings today, and will be sworn in at a later date.
