Penguins General Manager Jim Rutherford told the Post-Gazette yesterday that Sidney Crosby should be ready to begin practicing with his teammates soon after the team returns from its Christmas break. Crosby had sports hernia surgery on November 14th and has been skating on his own for about two weeks.
The Pens are 11-5-and-3 since Crosby went down. They’ll play back-to-back games against the Predators this weekend, in Nashville on Friday and at home on Saturday.
