The Statewide unemployment rate went up in the month of November.
According to the department of labor and industry, Pennsylvania’s unemployment rate went up one tenth of a percentage point to 4.3 percent. That is one-tenth of a percentage point higher than where it was last year.
Pennsylvania’s civilian labor force went up by 18,000 people in November to 6,534,000. The number of non-farm jobs also increased by 9500 jobs during November. The largest super-sector that saw an increase in jobs was leisure and hospitality, with 8000 jobs added. Education and health services saw some record high levels in November, along with the professional and business super-sector.
