Bids are being sought for a project at the state prison located in Indiana County.
According to an advertisement on the state E-Marketplace website, officials at SCI Pine Grove are seeking bids for a re-roofing project at the prison complex. The scope of the work will include evaluating all roofs on the property, and ranking the most important roofs that need replaced. Once that list is made, the company will replace the roofs deemed in poor condition with new roofing systems that carry a 20-year warranty. That work may include replacing the roof membrane and roof insulation, roof drains, scuppers and other areas.
The estimated project cost is $3.5 million. Bids will be accepted only through an e-builder bidding portal and they have to be submitted by January 17th at 4:30. Bids will be opened on February 19th at 10:00 AM in Harrisburg.
The facility opened in January of 2001.
