Last night, the White Township Supervisors approved the 2020 budget.
The budget passed was the same budget passed for advertisement in November, and does not have any property taxes for township residents.
The supervisors also approved advertising an ordinance that would prohibit hunting on White Township properties. The ordinance was discussed at their last meeting, but the supervisors wanted to see a provision added to allow controlled hunting to thin herds on White Township properties. That ordinance will be up for approval in January.
Also, the borough got to look at the winning bids for the renovation project for S&T Bank Arena at the White Township recreation complex. Three of the four contracts were awarded, but the general construction contract bids were not approved. Township Manager Milt Lady said the bids came in over budget.
The next meeting of the Township Supervisors will be January 6th at 7:30, which will be the reorganization meeting and first meeting for two new board members, Sandy Gilette and Rich Gallo.
