The founder of a charity that is helping people seeking asylum at the U.S. Border will come to Indiana for a presentation.
Pittsburgh-based activist Sandra Villarroel, the founder of the charity Worth Manifesto, will be on hand this Sunday at the First Unitarian Universalist Church to share her experience delivering aid to those at the U.S. border. Worth Manifesto is running a campaign to collect donations of travel-sized toiletries and beauty products, school supplies, yoga mats to act as mattresses and notes of encouragement. A group of volunteers will deliver the items in January.
In a news release, Villarroel said that during her presentation, she plans to show how one person can make a difference as far as being kind to those who need the help. In preparation for the presentation, First Unitarian has been collecting items for the charity campaign, along with the Artist’s Hand.
The presentation will be held at noon on Sunday, December 15th at the Church on Twolick Drive.
