At last night’s White Township Planning Commission meeting, two final site plans were approved for properties on West Pike and Saltsburg Avenue.
The plans approved for West Pike was The Gardens property, which is a part of The Fountains Senior Care facility, but will be a standalone memory care center. Marcy Colkitt of The Fountains said that there is a call for a memory care facility in the area.
The new facility will have 20 private rooms and a conservatory, which will be built to address the needs of memory care patients. It’s expected to open in the summer of next year. Approval for the plans was granted pending approval of the storm water and sewer plans.
The other final site plan that was approved was for expansions at the IndiGo facilities on Saltsburg Avenue. This includes a 2000 square foot addition to the administrative offices, a 15,000 square foot area for bus storage, and a 57-space parking lot between the CNG gas station and Rose Street. Approval was granted pending the storm water plan and a special exception to the 10-foot setback.
