State police have released a number of reports on a variety of topics, including the accidental death of a Commodore man last week.
- Police say the body of 67-year-old Donald Keith of Cypress Road in Green Township was found December 5th at his home. The cause of death was accidental carbon monoxide poisoning.
- A burglar got away with a very expensive item of jewelry last month in White Township. Police say the thief got into the home along Roble Drive without forcible entry between 11:45 PM November 15th and 2 AM the following morning, vandalized the main bedroom, and stole a diamond necklace valued at $4,500.
- Someone stole and vandalized Christmas decorations from a yard along Clarion Road in Cherry Tree Borough last month. State police say that the damaged and missing items were reported on the morning of November 14th. Some of the items taken were quite expensive, including a $500 angel ornament, a $200 nativity set, a $150 vintage Santa and Mrs. Claus, and a nutcracker soldier and a candle ornament which were each valued at $100. A candy cane and a snowman ornament were also stolen and an ornamental “JOY” sign was broken. In all the stolen and damaged items are valued at $1,190. The victim is a 39-year-old Cherry Tree woman.
- State police are investigating possible harassment by communication at Indiana Area High School, which reported the misuse of the Attorney General’s Safe2Say Something site between October 4th and November 5th.
