Negotiators reached a tentative contract agreement between coaches and the State System of Higher Education on Monday night.
In a joint release, APSCUF and the State System announced the deal yesterday on a four-year contract that expires on June 30th of 2023, matching the length of the tentative faculty deal currently being considered for ratification by the State System Board of Governors.
APSCUF Coach Executive Leader John Gump says the agreement provides fair compensation and benefits while also addressing some issues affecting how coaches do their jobs.
State System Chancellor Dan Greenstein touted the collaborative approach at the bargaining table, calling the contract agreement “another example of APSCUF and the State System working together.
As with the faculty, the coaches will continue to work under the terms of a contract that expired on June 30th of this year until the new contract is ratified by both sides.
