Several preliminary hearings will be held today in Indiana County Courts, including one for a Clymer man charged with an assault that stems back to an incident in September.
41-year-old Brian John Thacker of Dixonville will go before District Judge Susanne Steffee at 9:30 this morning for a preliminary hearing concerning charges of misdemeanor simple assault and summary criminal mischief and harassment concerning a fight that happened September 21st in Cherryhill Township. Police at the time said that he was involved in an argument with a 41-year-old woman from Clymer and a 45-year-old man from Penn Run when he punched the windshield of a car driven by one of the victims, breaking the glass. Thacker proceeded to the home of the couple on Mountain View Road, and the argument turned violent from there, as Thacker punched one of the victims in the face. He’s been free on $5000 bail since then.
Also due for a preliminary hearing today is Scott Ryan Wilson. The 53-year-old man from Shelocta is in court today on charges of theft by unlawful taking and harassment from an incident on October 5th. Earlier this year, Wilson was in court answering to charges in connection with accusations of growing marijuana and striking and choking a Shelocta woman that go back to January 19th of this year. On the drug charges, he pleaded guilty to manufacture with intent to deliver and was ordered to 9 to 18 months in jail and two years of probation. For the attack against a woman, he pleaded guilty to Simple Assault and was ordered to serve two years of probation.
Austin Robert Adams will also go before a judge today. He faces charges of indecent exposure and open lewdness for an incident on July 29th.
And Cynthia Pandullo faces a felony count of retail theft from an incident on November 2nd.
