Authorities say that the identity of one of the two teen boys recorded abusing an injured deer is the stepson of the chief of police in Brookville.
According to Erie News Now, the boy was identified by Brookville Police Chief Vince Markle said that his stepson, 18-year-old Alex Smith is one of the two teens in the video. Markle had told the city solicitor about the issue. Markle and the Brookville police are not handling the case. It’s being handled by the Pennsylvania Game Commission and the Jefferson County District Attorney’s office.
In a video that has gone viral, the two teens are seen assaulting a deer that was injured by stomping on it and pulling on its antlers.
The investigation is continuing and officials are saying that they have to follow the proper legal steps in the investigation.
