The Pirates introduced their new manager, Derek Shelton, on Wednesday.
Shelton was the bench coach for the Minnesota Twin last year and previously coached with the Indians, Tampa Bay and Blue Jays.
He will join general manager Ben Cherington at the winter meetings this weekend in San Diego.
