State police crime reports today include a break-in at the Black Leggs trout nursery sometime between November 22nd and 24th. The burglar forced entry into the shed at Hans Road and Dixon Road and stole a six-horsepower Briggs & Stratton generator valued at about $600.
There was another break-in at a shed in Green Township. It happened last Tuesday at a home along Pioneer Lake Road. The sliding door on the shed was forced off its track, causing the plastic hardware on which the lock was located to break. Nothing was taken.
State police say an unknown man went to extraordinary lengths to break up a dog fight Burrell Township on November 11th. The man was unable to control his dog inside his vehicle. The animal got out and attacked a dog on the property of Rachel and Kimberly McAdams, along Chestnut Street. Police say the man used a wooden stick to beat the victims’ dog, then went into a shed to try to find a better weapon. There is no description of the man. He fled in a Ford Explorer.
