State police have arrested an Avonmore man and charged him with theft of services. Police say the case goes back to March 15th of this year, when a 66-year-old man from Avonmore retrieved his vehicle from 286 Auto Repair in Center Township. The Avonmore man left the store a check for the services, but then cancelled the check after leaving the service center. Police say the repair shop had done about $2500 worth of work.
Troopers have charged a Clarksburg man with cutting the locks off a tree-stand and pushing it to the ground on November 16th. According to State Police, the man, identified only as a 56-year-old Clarksburg man, pushed the tree stands over, the metal tubing in the tree stand to bend. The stands belonged to a 57-year-old Homer City man. Police say the total value of the damaged goods is $517.14.
A Rochester Mills man is facing charges of failure to comply with Meghan’s Law requirements. State police say 43-year-old Leonard McIntire of Rochester Mills was arrested for the violation on November 6th, but troopers did not go into detail into what happened.
Two people from Shelocta are facing charges of shoplifting from an incident last Saturday. State police say the incident happened at 7:17 PM at the Walmart in White Township Police say that 47-year-old Felicia Pollick and 26-year-old Jeffrey Renwick, both of Shelocta, were accused of stealing $94 worth of items.
