Betty Lou Isenberg, 90, of Indiana, passed away Monday, Nov. 25, 2019, at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh.
A daughter of the late Raymond and Mildred Zack Rhine, she was born Feb. 26, 1929, in Center Township.
In 1991, after 26 years of service, Mrs. Isenberg retired from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where she was an assistant in the food service and hotel management department. Betty was a member of the Full Gospel Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening and cooking. Her family was very important to her, she loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by four children: Raymond Isenberg, Jr., of Blairsville; Ronald Isenberg and wife Peggy, of Indiana; Susan Templeton, of Indiana; Rodger Isenberg and wife Kathy, of Indiana; a brother, Jim Rhine, of Homer City; three sisters: Esther Bonnoni, of Indiana; Twila Filler, of Homer City; Cheryl Ryan, of Indiana; 11 grandchildren: Jason Isenberg and wife Stacie, Jamie Empfield and husband Mike, T.J. Isenberg and wife Tasha, Justin Isenberg, Neesha Burmeister and husband Ryan, Caleb Templeton and wife Karlee, Zachary Isenberg, Ethan Isenberg, Kelly Fontana, Debbie Brosch, David Shuman; four great-grandchildren: Gabi Isenberg, Stella Empfield, Scarlett Isenberg, Ruby Isenberg; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond J. Isenberg, Sr.; three brothers: Vernon Rhine, Donald Rhine, Wayne Rhine; four sisters: Idella Murdick, Naomi Fee, Diane Rhine, Linda Jones; a grandson, Christopher Cody Isenberg; and a daughter-in-law, Cheryl Isenberg.
Private visitation and funeral service will be held for the family at Robinson-Lytle, Inc., with Pastor Jack Lucas officiating. Private interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
