Gas prices in Pennsylvania increased on average over the last week.
According to Triple A East Central, the average cost of a gallon of gas in Pennsylvania is at $2.79 a gallon, an increase of four cents a gallon from last week at this time. Indiana’s average gas price went up as well, with gas prices now averaging out at $2.90 a gallon ahead of the Thanksgiving travel period. That’s an increase of roughly five cents a gallon on average.
While the average did go up, it is not the highest average in the region. Among the neighboring counties, Clearfield County actually had the highest average with $2.91 a gallon. Cambria County tied with Indiana at $2.90 a gallon, Westmoreland County had a $2.88 a gallon average, Jefferson County had a $2.87 a gallon average and Armstrong county had the lowest in the region with $2.84 a gallon.
Crawford and Warren counties tied with the highest average in the state at $2.95 a gallon, while Cumberland, Lackawanna and Wayne each had the lowest average at $2.74 a gallon.
