Tomorrow will mark the 30th anniversary of a holiday tradition that will help The United Way and several organizations to help get a hot meal to people who need it.
On Saturday, Bill Otto will host the 30th annual Oldies Attic Turkeython fundraiser from 9 AM to Noon. During the show, people will be able to call in and make pledges to the United Way, which will be matched by several local grocers with turkeys and food cards that will go to The Salvation Army, homeless veterans groups, Homer City Food Bank, The Community Kitchen in Dixonville, The Chevy Chase Community Center, and homeless veterans organizations among others.
Last year, the Turkeython raised $45,000.
