A sure sign of the holiday season will be coming into Indiana today as the large community Christmas tree will go into place in IRMC Park.
The 32-foot-tall Christmas Tree will be brought into town today, and placed in the permanent hole situated in the middle of North 7th Street, which means that IRMC Park in the area of North 7th Street will be closed for the holiday season as the set up begins for the First Commonwealth Bank “It’s A Wonderful Life Festival” which will run for four weekends at IRMC Park. This year’s tree was donated by E-Mar Acres Tree Farm in Saltsburg.
This year, people who are not able to get to see the tree being put in place in person will get the chance to watch the tree raising online. A webcam has been installed to provide video coverage of the tree, with the camera hanging from the archway at IRMC Park. You can view the webcam (supplied by BR Electric & Audio Visual)
by clicking here.
The holiday celebration will get underway Friday night at 5:00 PM at IRMC Park and locations in Downtown Indiana, leading to the tree lighting ceremony at 6:15 PM, and the annual holiday parade at 7:00 PM. The First Commonwealth Bank It’s A Wonderful Life festival will run each weekend through December 15th.
