The White Township Supervisors met last night and announced some details on a tentative budget that was approved earlier in the day.
After a budget workshop Wednesday afternoon, the township supervisors approved the tentative 2020 budget, which includes no tax changes or fee increases for township residents, and the township supervisors are staying with their position to not have any property taxes for township residents. The budget equals out to roughly $9.5 million, and the final budget will be approved in December.
In other business, the supervisors got an update on the Warren Road traffic signal project. At the prior meeting, inspection on the light poles became an issue and the project ran over budget because of it, so they reduced the scope of the project down to one pole. Township manager Milt Lady says that the two-pole plan is back on.
Lady said it will be a quick turnaround to get everything installed and inspected by the end of April.
