CENTER TOWNSHIP
Three people are facing charges after a Friday afternoon incident along Cherry Run Road in Center Township. According to state police, 23-year-old Alvin Guynn Jr. of Connellsville, 44-year-old Richard Deyarmin of Homer City, and 20-year-old Courtney Deyarmin of Blairsville, engaged in a verbal altercation which turned physical. They all separated without further incident, but police later filed charges and took the two men into custody. Guynn was charged with strangulation, simple assault, and harassment. Richard Deyarmin was charged with simple assault and harassment, and Courtney Deyarmin was cited for summary harassment. Guynn and Courtney Deyarmin are listed both as victims and suspects. Guynn and Richard Deyarmin were taken to the Indiana County Jail to await arraignment before District Judge Guy Haberl.
INDIANA
State police say a 16-year-old Shelocta boy is facing juvenile charges after he was found in possession of an electronic cigarette, a cigar, vape juice, a pocket knife, and nineteen shotgun shells on Indiana School District property on October 21st. The items were found on him and in his vehicle.
ARMSTRONG TOWNSHIP
Police report the theft of a Troy-Bilt pressure washer and six-to-eight-feet of black iron pipe from a location along Cunningham Road in Armstrong Township. State troopers were called to the scene on Friday morning. The owner is a 62-year-old man who told police that it happened between Wednesday night and Thursday morning.
WEST WHEATFIELD TOWNSHIP
A Latrobe man has been cited for harassment by communication for pestering two women in connection with a previous assault. 27-year-old Christopher Voll is accused of using social media to contact a 32-year-old victim, who is from Robinson, and a 23-year-old New Florence woman. Both harassment incidents happened on Thursday. Police do not provide details of the assault, which is alleged to have occurred on Wednesday.
