Carl Jay Anderson, 40, Homer City, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 5, 2019.
The son of Keith Anderson and Constance (McGaughey) DeGastro, he was born September 17, 1979 in Indiana, PA.
Carl enjoyed the outdoors, motorcycles, boats, gardening, his dogs and barbecuing. He cherished his family, especially his son, Caleb. Carl will be remembered as a loving father, son, grandson, brother, partner, and friend.
He is survived by his parents, Keith Anderson and Constance and Albert DeGastro; son, Caleb Anderson and his mother, Kari Cameron-Anderson; soulmate, Shara Zeunges; brother, Kyle Anderson and his family; maternal grandparents, Naomi and Vaughn McGaughey; aunts and uncles; E. Jean Phillipi, Wanda Benning, Michael and Caren Gordon, and Norman and Shelly McGaughey; step-brother, Scott DeGastro and wife Angie.
Carl was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Cecil and Eleanor Anderson.
A Celebration of Life will be held for family and friends on Friday at 6 p.m. at the Homer City Firehall. The John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
