Clymer Borough Police are investigating a marijuana case the cropped up yesterday. Officer Hunter Scherf reports that shortly after 5 PM, he stopped at a home on Dixon Road to follow up on some drug information he had received from another Indiana County agency. Scherf smelled burnt marijuana coming from inside the home. Police then obtained a search warrant and several hours later they searched the home and found two bags of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. No suspects have been publicly identified.
In another investigation, Officer Scherf reports a summary charge of criminal mischief was filed against Brian Blazavich last week after a caller at a Dixon Road complained that someone had thrown chewing tobacco on the window of his car.
State police say a Rochester Mills man has been charged with harassment physical contact for allegedly punching a 17-year-old Punxsutawney boy who was hunting last week in Canoe Township, in northern Indiana County. 56-year-old Tracy Gaston is accused of confronting the boy on October 26th and punching him in the face.
