Even though the predicted weather for tonight is sour, trick or treating is set for tonight for Homer City and Indiana Boroughs and for White and Center Townships.
A Halloween parade is set for Homer City at 5:00 PM. It will begin at the old Laundromat on Wylie Street and head towards the fire department. The parade is dependent on the weather, and if it is bad, the parade will be rescheduled for another day.
Trick or treating for White and Center Townships, along with Homer City and Indiana Boroughs will run from 6-8 PM.
Triple A East Central is reminding everyone to be safe during trick or treat times, and they advise that trick or treaters travel in groups, wearing costumes that will be easily visible, and walking on sidewalks if they are available. If not, always walk facing traffic. Drivers should drive about 5 miles an hour under the speed limit in residential areas and be on the lookout for children walking on roads, curbs and medians.
