Last night, the Indiana School Board met and approved the goals for Superintendent Michael Vukovich, along with the evaluation tool.
Vukovich was not at the meeting, so speaking on his behalf was Director of Education Robert Heinrich, who said that along with improving socio-emotional learning and college and career readiness at the High School level, one of the things that the Superintendent wants to see is improvement in literacy. Heinrich described the program they want to use for that purpose.
The board also approved the necessary budget transfers in connection the 2018-2019 year-end audit. Chairperson of the Audit and Finance Committee Julia Trimarchi-Cuccaro said that the district had a $700,000 surplus despite some tax assessment appeals that were filed.
Finally, the board announced that they will only have one meeting in November, and that will be on November 18th at 7:30.
