The Pittsburgh Pirates fired Neal Huntington today, as the team’s offseason shake-up continued.
The Pirates had already fired president Frank Coonelly last week and manager Clint Hurdle on Sept. 29.
Pittsburgh finished last in the NL Central this season, going 69-93 and missing the postseason for the fourth consecutive year. The team collapsed in the standings in the second half.
Former Penguins executive Travis Williams has been hired to replace Coonelly as president. The team has not hired a new manager.
