IUP will hold naturalization ceremonies on Friday as part of their week-long celebration of International Education Week.
About 50 people are expected to take part in the ceremonies Friday morning at the KCAC’s Toretti auditorium. This marks the eighth year that IUP has been asked to host a U.S. Citizenship ceremony for those in the Greater Pittsburgh area. IUP’s office of International Education and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security are co-sponsoring the event.
Among those who will take part in the ceremonies are IUP associate professor in chemistry Dr. Sudipta Majumdar, and IUP doctoral student in the Professional Studies in Education program Wenxi Schwab. Both are expected to make remarks during the ceremony.
