Last night, the Indiana School Board met and approved a current member of the High School Faculty to serve as the Dean of Students.
The board approved naming Donald Bowers as the Dean of Students for Indiana High School last night. Superintendent Michael Vuckovich said that the position is meant to free up some time for the principal.
In other business, the board approved entering into an agreement with the Alternative Community Resource Program to provide behavioral support at Ben Franklin elementary at a cost of $99,800. Vuckovich said that there have been some students at Ben Franklin that need the extra support the program can bring.
The board also approved the attendance of Vuckovich, current Junior High assistant principal and former Eisenhower principal Marilyn Walther and teacher Brad Trout as district representatives to the National Blue Ribbon Schools Ceremony in Washington DC on November 14th and 15th. This is because of Eisenhower’s recent Blue Ribbon award from the organization.
