Two people were flown from the scene of a motorcycle accident in Armstrong Township last evening. The crash happened on the Route 422 ramp westbound at the merge point with West Pike. Indiana firefighters and Citizens Ambulance were dispatched to the scene at 6:05 PM. State police have not yet issued a report.
Other 911 calls yesterday included a summons at 3:40 PM for Saltsburg, Coal Run/McIntyre, and Tunnelton firefighters to set up a landing zone on Route 286 in Young Township; an accident shortly before 6 PM on Route 119 South in Burrell Township, to which Black Lick and Blairsville firefighters responded; and minutes later, Homer City firefighters were sent to Old Route 56 in Center Township for a transformer sparking.
