PennDOT’s office of Public-Private Partnerships announced on Friday that they are accepting unsolicited proposals for transportation projects from the private sector.
This proposal period applies to all PennDOT-owned projects and infrastructure, and during this time, private companies can submit proposals for ways to deliver transportation projects across the state across a wide variety of modes, including roads, bridges, railroads, aviation and ports. Proposals can also include more efficient models to manage existing transportation-related services and programs. They can also submit applications for non PennDOT-owned assets directly to the P3 board at this time.
The state’s P3 law allows PennDOT and other transportation authorities and commissions to partner with private companies to take part in delivering, maintaining and financing transportation related projects.
Proposals can be submitted to the P3 Website, www.p3.pa.gov. The deadline to submit is October 31st.
