The Homer-Center School District tonight will hold a special community program talking about being kind and ending prejudice.
The “Rachael’s Challenge” program started yesterday and continues today for students in the district, and is based off of the diary entries writings of Rachael Scott, who was the first victim of the Columbine School Shooting in 1999.
Homer-Center Guidance Counselor Kurt Krejocic talked about the specific goals of the program.
Yesterday was the High School presentation for Rachael’s Challenge. Today will be some coaching sessions for some High Schoolers and presentations for the elementary students.
Tonight’s program is open to everyone, no matter what school district you live in, and will be held in the JS Byers Auditorium at the Homer-Center High School starting at 6:00 tonight.
