This afternoon, IUP will host a ribbon cutting as part of a celebration the 20th anniversary of the first graduating class of the Robert E. Cook Honors College and the recent remodeling of Whitmyre Hall.
The Whitmyre Hall renovation project has been going on since the summer of 2016. It includes a rebuilt entrance, a facelift on the living spaces on the second and third floors and upgrades to the restrooms and showers on those floors, along with six new seminar rooms, new individual study rooms and additional lounge areas.
Speaking at the Ribbon cutting, which is set for 4:30 this afternoon, will be former State House Representative and current Regional President for Pennsylvania Community Markets for First Commonwealth Bank Dave Reed. The program will also feature current Cook Honors College student Matthew Hiles of Kittanning, who is an accounting and finance major.
