PennDOT has published the plans for Phase Two of its Route 22 Armagh Bypass Project, featuring ramp closures to start on Monday.
The ramps from Route 22 west to Route 56 and from 22 East to Route 403 (Cramer Pike) will be closed to traffic from Monday through Thursday next week, with detours in place. Currently, the ramps from 22 East to 56 and from 22 West to 403 are closed. They should reopen tomorrow.
The ramps are being milled, patched, and repaved, with the project scheduled for completion in mid-November.
Here are the posted detours for next week:
- Traffic on SR 56 heading towards SR 22 Westbound should take SR 22 Eastbound to the jug handle on McFeaters Road to SR 22 Westbound
- Traffic on SR 22 Westbound heading towards SR 56 should take SR 259 to SR 22 Eastbound to SR 56.
- Traffic on SR 403 heading towards SR 22 Eastbound should take SR 22 Westbound to SR 259 to SR 22 Eastbound
- Traffic on SR 22 Eastbound heading towards SR 403 should turn around on the jug handle on McFeaters Road to SR 22 Westbound to SR 403
