Margaret “Myrt” Kobilis, 89, of Starford, PA died Monday, September 30, 2019 at AristaCare @ Hillsdale Park in Hillsdale, PA.
The daughter of Leah (Johns) Giles, she was born on November 27, 1929 in Indiana, PA.
Myrt was a graduate of Green Township High School.
She was a member of the Starford United Methodist Church.
For over forty years, Myrt was employed by Purchase Line School District, where she started as a library aide at Commodore Elementary and retired as the transportation secretary at Purchase Line High School.
In her spare time, Myrt liked to watch baseball and football games and thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Surviving are her four daughters: Sarah “Sally” Boston of Baltimore, MD; Patricia Patrick of Starford, PA; Debra Brady of Baltimore, MD and Rebecca Kahler and husband William of Baltimore, MD; her four grandchildren: Gregory Campbell of Starford, PA; Timothy Brady and wife Lauren of Manchester, MD; Marcus Kahler of Columbus, OH and Christina Kahler of Towson, MD and her great granddaughter, Autumn Brady.
She was preceded in death by her mother on January 4, 2005.
Family and friends will be received from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 4, 2019 at the Rairigh Funeral Home, Ltd. in Hillsdale, PA. An 11:00 a.m. funeral service and interment ceremony will be held at the Rairigh Funeral Home, Ltd. on Saturday, October 5, 2019 officiated by Pastor Jackie Greene. Private interment will be at the Rowley Cemetery in Hillsdale, PA.
