Negotiations are expected to continue next week between APSCUF, the teachers union, and the State System of Higher Education over the coaches contracts.
The last negotiating session was yesterday at the APSCUF offices in Harrisburg, marking the fifth negotiation session between the two sides. According to a release from APSCUF, the bargaining session discussed previous proposals and the APSCUF team was presented with a new proposal as well. Executive Leader for the coaches contract negotiation John Gump said that the session was productive and they look forward to more discussions on October 7th, which will be the next negotiation session between both sides.
PASSHE has not offered any news release concerning Monday’s negotiation session. The Coaches contract expired on June 30th, but by law, the prior collective bargaining is still in effect until a new agreement has been ratified by both sides.
