PennDOT has pushed back the start date for work on the Route 22 ramps to Routes 56 and 403 in East Wheatfield Township. The ramps were supposed to close starting on Tuesday, but they’ll instead close on Wednesday. They are still scheduled to reopen on Friday.
The scheduled closures are the on and off ramps between Routes 56 and 22 eastbound, and the ramps between Route 22 westbound and Route 403 (Cramer Pike).
Detour routes are as follows:
- Traffic on SR 56 heading towards SR 22 Eastbound should take SR 22 Westbound to SR 259 to SR 22 Eastbound
- Traffic on SR 22 Eastbound heading towards SR 56 should turn around on the jug handle on McFeaters Road to SR 22 Westbound to SR 56
- Traffic on SR 22 Westbound heading towards SR 403 should take SR 259 to SR 22 Eastbound to SR 403.
- Traffic on SR 403 heading towards SR 22 Westbound should take SR 22 Eastbound to the jug handle on McFeaters Road to SR 22 Westbound.

The SR 22 Armagh Bypass Project will be completed by the end of October 2019.
